ChainPort to Cease Support for Non-Verified Tokens
back

tl;dr

  • ChainPort will no longer support bridging unverified tokens

  • It's recommended to bridge unverified tokens back to their source chain as soon as possible.

  • Retrieving tokens may become impossible after the specified timeframe.

Non-Verified Tokens will no Longer be Supported

ChainPort will cease its support for bridging unverified tokens. Token holders that have used ChainPort to bridge unverified tokens should bridge these tokens back to their source chain as soon as possible.

In the future, the UI of the ChainPort app won’t allow the bridging of tokens by pasting their contract address unless they’re verified. To facilitate a smooth transition, teams, and users who have previously bridged unverified tokens are advised to start the bridging process back to their source chain before 11/03/2024.

It's crucial to note that after this specified timeframe, retrieving tokens may become impossible. As such, it is highly recommended to bridge unverified tokens back to their source chain as soon as possible.
